RECEPTION IN BLACKBURN AREA
Blackburn although
it is located only 12 miles from the Digital transmitter at Winter
Hill does have its own problems due to its location in a Valley and
the surrounding hills. If you cannot pick up the signal from Winter
Hill, you could be on the Hoddlesden Transmitter,
Unfortunately this is Analogue only and even after Switchover Nov
2009 it will only offer a Freeview Lite service with fewer channels.
Some parts of Darwen can pick up the Signal From the Pendle
Forest transmitter which is fully Digital.
