If you require multiroom from the one TV Aerial then this is possible if done correctly the picture to the above is what we commonly come across to often and much of the time this is either in the loft tucked under the insulation or 2,3 or 4 cables joined together like this and taped to the aerial pole with insulation tape. This is totally inadequate  for Digital reception as interference  can get through this along with water the whole aerial system must remain shielded .

 All our Multiroom upgrades are carried out using the Vision Range of outdoor splitters this way no water ingress to the cable and no loss of shielding from outside sources. These come in 2 way splits and 4 way. It is important to remember that all splitters lose signal 4 -8 db typical so it is important that the correct TV Aerial is used and signals measured to ensure that the levels remain for Digital reception.
